REVISION PACK -SUMMER 2017

WRITING TIPS:

1.    Keep your writing simple! Write short sentences separated by periods.

2.    Use simple structures.


    

3.       Use paragraphs! Follow a structure: pros-cons, cause-effect, comparison and contrast… Start with an introduction and finish with a conclusion. Use some sentences in a paragraph. You can see the typical paragraph structure below: 



4.       Use connectors to organise your text.


5.       Try to use structures and vocabulary from the class: conditionals, modal verbs, comparatives & superlatives, specific words, etc.


Further practice: 



READING and USE OF ENGLISH TIPS:

1.       Make sure you revise the basic vocabulary, grammar and functional structures from the classbook and supplementary material used in your classes.

2.       Practise the texts you have been working on throughout the schoolyear.

5.       USE OF ENGLISH: You may check if your textbook includes online exercises. There are also thousands of webpages where you may practise the grammar/vocabulary contents you have to revise.

1.       To enhance these skills you need practice, practice, and more practice.

-          Go to conversation groups or find an online conversation mate:


-          Watch TV in English with subtitles: series, movies, the news…

-          Watch interesting videos on Youtube     or   https://www.ted.com

Commerce Department: " Escaparate  temático".

Hairdressing DepartmentExhibition  " Personajes de los libros de  Gloria Fuertes",students will dress as the characters in Gloria Fuertes books, tales, etc.

Social Services Department: Library Activities and  Story Telling Activities

English Department: " Tell me what you read and I will tell you who you are " game  & " I recommend my favourite book"  

DACE: " Relato encadenado ", " Cuenta cuentos del Mundo ", "Bookcrossing" y Exhibition " Mis libros y yo "

All the activities will take place during the breaks  , the main corridor , the chill out , the showroom and the library There will be prices for participants
